Blessing the Vineyards and Harvest

Vineyards Harvest time in Napa California generally runs August – October.

In September, the grape harvest is in full-swing, and visitors to the Napa area participate in and enjoy the Blessing of the Vineyards ceremonies , as wineries and vineyards open their doors to host a variety of vineyard harvest celebrations, events, and festivities.

“The Blessing of the Vineyards is a centuries old ceremony performed to ensure the harvest is plentiful, the wine is good, and the vineyard field workers are safe.”

Traditional Blessing ceremonies may include;  Blessing of the Harvest,  Blessing of the Vineyard,  Prosperity Prayer,  Blessing the field workers,  Dedication of the Reserve Wine, and Blessing of the Inventory.

Calistoga Christian Center’s own Senior Pastor Tom Burgos performs on-site Blessing of the Harvest ceremonies at Vineyards and Wineries both large and small throughout the Napa area – by donation to the Calistoga Christian Center Church Childrens Ministry.
